M is for Maniacs

It was going to be for Music.

But then, when I logged onto Facebook, I saw the various posts about the bombs which went off on the route of the Boston marathon.

M could also stand for Murderers, Maimers

Sometimes words really do fail me.

  1. I so agree. What can we say in the face of yet another horrendous attack on innocent people. Another everyday American piece of life blown to bits and never to be the same ever again. Our schools are not safe, our streets are not safe - clearly our lives are not safe anymore. I long for the simple days of growing up when we roamed the streets of our small town freely day and night and nothing bad every happened to anybody, much less to many folks at once. Tragic, heartbreaking, stealing away all other thoughts and words.

  2. I had to change my post today too. I am in New Zealand, so we are nearly a full day ahead, so I am on N. My original post is just not appropriate in light of the events.

  3. M can also stand for marathon and what it means all by itself. A marathon is something that is long and requires strength and endurance. We (the good and decent people of the world) ARE stronger than anyone who wishes us harm, and we will endure the trials. We will win and prevail in the end. How? Gratitude. Kindness. Love.

  4. Visiting from the A to Z Challenge. I think Maniacs is a highly appropriate M word given the circumstances.
